Elite Exteriors recently completed a roof replacement and gutter installation for a home in Chicago, IL 60643. The project gave the home a refreshed exterior while providing a new roofing system and gutters designed to protect the property from Chicago weather.
For the roof, the homeowners selected Owens Corning Oakridge® shingles in Desert Tan. The warm, dimensional tones of Desert Tan work especially well with the home’s traditional red brick exterior and white trim, giving the finished roof a natural look that complements the architecture.
Owens Corning Oakridge Desert Tan Roof
The existing roofing was replaced with Owens Corning Oakridge shingles, an architectural shingle line that provides a dimensional appearance rather than the flat look of traditional three-tab shingles.
The Desert Tan color combines warm brown and tan tones that pair nicely with the brick exterior of this Chicago home. As the completed project photos show, the new roof maintains the home’s traditional character while giving the exterior a cleaner, updated appearance.
New White Gutters
Along with the roof replacement, Elite Exteriors installed Alside standard white gutters. The white gutters coordinate with the home’s existing white fascia, windows, and exterior trim, creating a clean transition between the new roof and brick exterior.
Completing the roof and gutter work together also ensures that water is properly collected and directed away from the home.
